Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MonoMap ("the app"), the website monomap.app, and related services provided by Tehnika ("we", "us"). By using MonoMap you agree to these Terms.

The service

MonoMap is a local-first mind-mapping application. Your maps and notes are stored in your own browser and work offline. Free usage requires no account. A paid subscription, MonoMap Pro, adds cloud sync across your devices.

Free and paid plans

MonoMap is free to use with all core features stored locally on your device. MonoMap Pro is a subscription that enables cloud sync of your maps and boards across devices, billed monthly (currently €3.99 / $3.99 per month) or yearly (€39.90 / $39.90 per year, two months free). MonoMap Studio includes everything in Pro and adds version history (automatic snapshots of your maps) and shareable board links, billed monthly (currently €7.99 / $7.99 per month) or yearly (€79.90 / $79.90 per year, two months free). All paid plans are billed in euro or US dollars as chosen at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period and are billed through our payment provider, AgentaOS. You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your locally stored work remains available to you.

Shared boards

On the Studio plan you can create read-only share links for your boards. Anyone with the link can view a snapshot of that board in their browser without an account. You are responsible for the content you share: do not share links containing confidential or personal information of others. Revoking a link stops it from serving the board; third parties may have already viewed or saved its contents while it was active. Shared links stop working if your Studio subscription lapses.

Cancellation and refunds

We do not offer refunds. When you cancel your MonoMap Pro or Studio subscription, your access (including cloud sync and, for Studio, version history and sharing) continues until the end of the current paid billing period, after which the subscription ends and no further charges are made. Your locally stored work always remains available to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use MonoMap for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the website or its infrastructure;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the app except as permitted by law;
• Use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

Your content

All content you create in MonoMap (maps, notes, links, and settings) is stored on your device. You are solely responsible for your content and for backing it up (the app provides profile and export tools for this purpose). If you subscribe to MonoMap Pro, your content is additionally stored in the cloud to provide cross-device sync; it is not shared with third parties beyond the provider that stores it for you. You may delete your content at any time by deleting it in the app or cancelling your subscription.

Intellectual property

MonoMap and the monomap.app website, including their design, branding, and software, are owned by Tehnika and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to the software other than a limited, non-exclusive right to use it.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tehnika shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or content, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
